The Heart Behind Circus Unicorn

Founded by A Horse Girl with Passion & Artistry

A lifetime of horsemanship, a love for teaching, and a passion for helping riders chase big horse dreams. Circus Unicorn was created to make horsemanship accessible, inspiring, and rooted in real, lived experience.

Where It All Began

Lyndsi was first placed on a horse at six weeks old, and from that moment, horses became her world. As a passionate 4-H kid, she dove deep into horsemanship—memorizing anatomy charts, studying behavior, quizzing herself on breeds, and building a massive three-ring binder full of diagrams and articles.

This dedication earned her multiple state championships in hippology and horse bowl, and planted the seeds for the educator she would become.

Real Horsemanship & Perseverance

Growing up, Lyndsi competed across many disciplines—western pleasure, reining, English equitation, jumping, barrel racing, showmanship, and more. But beyond the ribbons, her true foundation was built in the barn aisle.

As a dedicated working student, she lived the early mornings, late evenings, and long days that shaped her into a true horsewoman—riding any horse offered to her as a working student, absorbing every lesson from her trainers, and learning the patience and feel that only comes from time in the saddle.

Riding As A Student Athlete

Lyndsi earned APHA and PtHA national and world titles, Lifetime Leaders awards, and eventually a scholarship to ride for Texas Christian University’s NCAA Equestrian Team. She earned MVP titles and NCAA athletic and academic recognition while studying graphic design and continuing to develop horses.

Over the years she became a trusted assistant trainer, helping start young horses, schooling a variety of disciplines, and teaching riders of all ages.

Into the World of Equestrian Circus

A World of Artistry, Grit, and Horsemanship

Her years as an equestrian performer took her across the country, where she trained and performed in vaulting, trick riding, roman riding, classical dressage, and liberty. She performed with Gladius The Show, Riata Ranch International, Shriners Circuses, Circus Sarasota, and other productions.

Hard Lessons & Unforgettable Experiences

The performing world demanded resilience, creativity, and humility. It taught Lyndsi what works—and what absolutely doesn’t—in training horses and, just as importantly, in treating and leading people with honor. These lessons now shape everything she builds through Circus Unicorn.

Why Circus Unicorn Was Born

As Lyndsi continued teaching at barns and programs, she noticed a consistent challenge:

There’s simply not enough time in lessons to teach the full depth of horsemanship.

This inspired her to create fun, visual, accurate learning tools—the kind she wished she’d had as a young competitor. Over time, these resources grew into a full educational library now used by lesson programs, homeschoolers, equine therapy centers, and horse lovers everywhere.

Learning Through a Neurodivergent Lens

As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult (ASD Level 1), Lyndsi now recognizes how her intense focus, pattern recognition, and deep-dive learning shaped her horsemanship journey. That perspective fuels her mission to create clear, visual, accessible tools that help all types of learners—neurotypical and neurodivergent alike—thrive in their equestrian journey.

Real, Arena-Proven Expertise

No shortcuts. No AI. No made-up horsemanship.

In an online world full of AI-generated equestrian content, stolen materials, and resources created by non-professionals, Circus Unicorn stands apart.

Real arena dust, real miles, real wins, real challenges, and real experience.

Every tool Lyndsi creates comes from...

• Decades in the saddle

• Hands-on work with many breeds and disciplines

• Performing and competing at advanced levels

• Formal studies in horsemanship

• Coaching riders of all ages

• And a lifetime lived in the barn.

The Vision Ahead

Today, Lyndsi teaches at an established equestrian center in Sandpoint, Idaho, continuing to refine her craft and mentor riders. Looking ahead, she dreams of creating an equestrian performing arts center—a place that blends classical horsemanship, liberty, and equestrian artistry with a nonprofit equine therapy branch.

Circus Unicorn is a foundational part of that journey: a way to equip, inspire, and pave the way for others to pursue their own bold equestrian dreams.

The Heart Behind It All

Faith & Calling

At the core of Lyndsi’s horsemanship is her faith in Jesus. As the Lord continues to bring healing, direction, and freedom into her life, that same grace influences the way she trains horses and teaches people.

A Gift with a Purpose

She aims her faith, creativity, neurodivergent strengths, and a lifelong devotion to horses into something lasting and meaningful.
